VOTE AGAINST RANKED CHOICE VOTING
ON THE NOVEMBER 2022 BALLOT
A radical, left-wing CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT that elimintes one-person, one-vote
THIS IS LANGUANGE FROM THE
PROPOSED CONSTITUTIONAL
AMENDMENT:
“The candidate with the fewest votes
is eliminated, VOTES CAST FOR THE
ELIMINATED CANDIDATE shall
cease counting for the eliminated
candidate and SHALL BE ADDED TO
THE TOTALS OF EACH BALLOT’S
NEXT-HIGHEST-RANKED
CONTINUING CANDIDATE or
considered an inactive ballot…”

WHAT WILL RCV DO?
- It’s proportional voting for which
your vote can be assigned to a
candidate you did not vote for - Your voter intent won’t matter
- Your political party won’t matter
- Candidates will be selected,
not elected - Elections will be like a crapshoot
- It’s unnecessary and too confusing,
why bother? - Perverts our representative form of
government though it claims to do
the opposite - It will usher in the death of
democracy as we know it
“Frequently hailed as a way to reduce polarization, ranked-choice voting is, in fact, a dangerously complex process that threatens to distort election outcomes”

Maine Supreme Court Opinion
Candidates only require a plurality of the votes to win the election, meaning that in cases of three or more candidates, no candidate need get 50% plus one of the vote. The ranked choice system, on the other hand, outright ignores this standard, opting to simply remove the weakest candidate from the ballot until a clear majority is won.

Here’s some additional information from an Incredible Report by Heritage.org here
“In the end, it is all about political power, not about what is best for the American people and for preserving our great republic. So-called reformers want to change process rules so they can manipulate election outcomes to obtain power.
Ranked choice voting is no different.”
